Layered Lighting Great Room

About This Project

This open-plan great room required a lighting design that could serve four distinct zones — dining, living, kitchen, and a reading nook — without a single fixture doing too much. Three layers were established: ambient (recessed LED), accent (wall sconces, picture lights), and task (pendants over island, floor lamps at seating). All zones are on individual dimmers and integrated into a single lighting control scene.
